A search for an “AI LinkedIn post generator” covers two different things. One is a free page where you type a topic and get a draft. The other is a paid tool that learns your voice, stores what you know and schedules the post. This guide covers both and says which is which.
The free generators we found on 8 October 2026 were ContentIn (no login), Postiv (no signup), MagicPost (3 posts a day, no account), SocialPilot (3 posts per user), Taplio, Copy.ai and Grammarly. Claude and ChatGPT have free plans as well.
Two LinkedIn rules are worth knowing before you paste anything in:
- LinkedIn’s User Agreement says generated content might be inaccurate, incomplete or misleading. It tells you to review and edit it before sharing, and says you’re responsible for making sure it follows the Professional Community Policies.
- LinkedIn’s help page on prohibited software says it doesn’t permit third-party bots, plug-ins or extensions that automate activity on its site. The rule targets automation, so the tools to check are the ones that post, comment or message for you.
The tools
1. Parlance: when the post carries your name and someone reviews it
Parlance isn’t a quick generator. It’s a content system for public-company CEOs and the IR and comms teams around them. It’s voice-trained on your writing, strategy documents and published content, and starts from a guided conversation about the reasoning behind a decision. One brief becomes a LinkedIn post, blog post, X thread, email and press release. House rules are Reg FD-aware and aim to catch stock-promotion phrasing and in-progress deal details before a draft reaches you.
Self-service is $499/month (one voice, one seat). Managed is $1,999/month, with a dedicated content lead and a weekly strategic review. Billed monthly, invite-only. It isn’t a scheduler, a grammar checker or a cheap volume tool.

Disclaimer: we own Parlance (which is how we know it’s good).
2. ContentIn: free, no login, and it can learn from your profile
ContentIn’s free generator has two modes. Topic mode returns one draft in an editor with a live LinkedIn preview. Profile mode reads your recent posts and returns three drafts written to your style. The page says no login or credit card is needed, and that scheduling and posting happen inside the paid app.
Growth is $39/month ($31 annual) for one personal profile, with unlimited ghostwriter drafts trained on your posts. Pro is $59 ($48 annual). ContentIn says there’s no free plan, but every plan starts with a 7-day trial.
3. Taplio: free viral post generator, AI in the paid plans
Taplio’s free Viral Post Generator takes a short prompt and returns a LinkedIn post. The page’s FAQ calls it free, though text inside the tool mentions a free limit of three posts before you sign up. Taplio also lists free headline, summary and carousel tools. It doesn’t say the free generator learns your voice.
In the paid app, AI post writing starts at Growth ($69/month, or $49 annual). Starter ($39, or $32 annual) doesn’t include it. There’s a 7-day trial. For the full plan breakdown, see our Taplio alternatives guide.
4. Postiv: free, no signup, five formats
Postiv’s free generator needs no signup. You enter a topic, choose a format (hook-story-CTA, listicle, hot take, how-to or personal story) and a tone. Its FAQ says there are no limits, and that it uses a basic AI model for one-off drafts.
The paid product learns your writing style and adds a weekly planning agent, carousels, scheduling and analytics. Creator Pro is $99/month, or $49.50/month billed as $594 a year. There’s a 7-day trial. Postiv says it uses LinkedIn’s official API.
5. Supergrow: voice from an interview
Supergrow doesn’t list a free generator, and every plan starts with a 7-day trial. It’s the pick when the hard part is getting ideas out of an expert’s head. “Content DNA” profiles your tone, opinions and vocabulary. “Postcast” is an AI interview that Supergrow says produces three to five draft posts from a 10 to 15 minute conversation.
Pro is $39/month ($31 annual) for one account. Teams is $199/month ($189 annual) for five accounts, with approval workflows.
6. MagicPost: free daily drafts, plus style import
MagicPost’s generator page offers three free posts a day with no account. With an account, it can import a writing style from your own LinkedIn posts or a creator you choose, and it takes context about your audience and offer. MagicPost also runs 18 free single-purpose tools (hooks, a post grader, a previewer) with no signup.
Unlimited generation starts on Creator, $69/month ($39 annual). Growth, at $49 ($29 annual), lists manual writing and scheduling, metrics and lead detection. Free trial, no card.
7. Claude or ChatGPT: the DIY route
A free account on either gets you drafts. Claude’s free plan includes chat, memory across conversations and up to five projects; Claude Pro is $20/month, or $17 on annual billing. ChatGPT’s pricing page lists a free plan with unlimited text chats, but it showed paid prices in local currency when we read it, so we couldn’t confirm USD prices.
The gap with the tools above is context. You supply samples and rules each time, or build a project to hold them. Nothing posts for you and nothing enforces rules.
8. Copy.ai: a free tool from a GTM platform
Copy.ai’s free LinkedIn Post Generator takes a topic, an insight or a pasted transcript, with optional tone and goal, and returns several versions. The page says there’s no credit card and no trial period. Copy.ai now positions itself as a go-to-market AI platform, so this is a free tool rather than its main product. See Copy.ai alternatives for context. The free page doesn’t mention voice learning.
9. Grammarly: simple and free
Grammarly’s generator asks for a topic and a tone, then suggests posts. The page says there’s no cost, no ads and no hidden fees, and it tells you to tweak the result to match your own voice and message. It prompts a Grammarly sign-up for wider features. Limit: it’s a one-off drafting box, with nothing to schedule or store.
10. SocialPilot: free for three posts
SocialPilot’s generator takes a topic, an optional keyword, a language (English, French, Spanish, German or Italian) and a tone, and adds hashtags. It’s free for up to three posts per user. SocialPilot sells a social scheduler. Limit: the cap, and no voice learning.
11. AuthoredUp: an editor, not a generator
AuthoredUp isn’t a post generator. It’s included because it covers the editing side: a formatting, preview and analytics layer, delivered as a Chrome extension and web app, with free tools such as a text formatter and post preview. Its Coauthor AI assistant, which learns your voice from your posts, is in closed beta with credits on every plan.
Individual is $19.95/month ($16.63 annual); Business is $14.95 per profile ($12.46 annual) for three or more profiles. Free trial, no card.

How to choose
- Decide between a free draft and a system. A free page is fine for one post. If you’ll publish every week and don’t want generic output, you need something that learns your voice: ContentIn, Supergrow, MagicPost with an account, Postiv’s paid app or Parlance. Our guide to AI writing tools that learn your brand voice compares more of them.
- Edit every draft. LinkedIn’s User Agreement puts responsibility for what you share on you. Add a real example and check every name, number and claim.
- Keep review in the loop for sensitive posts. A free generator doesn’t know your disclosure obligations. If a post could touch material information, keep IR and counsel involved whichever tool drafts it.
- Check how a tool connects to LinkedIn. Supergrow, ContentIn, MagicPost and Postiv each say they publish through LinkedIn’s official API. Read the vendor’s own explanation before connecting an account you can’t afford to lose.
- Watch the caps. MagicPost and SocialPilot cap free use at three posts, and Taplio’s tool text mentions three. ContentIn and Postiv say they have no login or signup requirement, and Postiv says no limit.
FAQ
- Is there a free AI LinkedIn post generator?
- Yes, several, each with different limits. On 8 October 2026: ContentIn says no login or card is needed, Postiv says no signup and no limits, MagicPost allows 3 posts a day with no account, and SocialPilot allows 3 posts per user. Taplio, Copy.ai and Grammarly also list free generators. Claude and ChatGPT have free plans too.
- Does LinkedIn allow AI-written posts?
- We found no prohibition in LinkedIn's User Agreement. It says generated content might be inaccurate, incomplete or misleading, asks you to review and edit it before sharing, and says you're responsible for making sure what you share follows its Professional Community Policies. Separately, LinkedIn's help page says it doesn't permit third-party bots or extensions that automate activity on the site.
- Which LinkedIn post generator learns my writing style?
- Parlance trains on your writing, strategy documents and published content (invite-only). ContentIn's profile mode reads your recent posts. Supergrow builds a profile it calls Content DNA. MagicPost can import a style from your posts or a creator you choose, with an account. AuthoredUp's Coauthor assistant does this too but is in closed beta.
- How much do paid LinkedIn post generators cost?
- On 8 October 2026: Supergrow and ContentIn were $39/month ($31 on annual billing), Taplio's AI writing started at $69/month ($49 annual), MagicPost's AI plan at $69/month ($39 annual), Postiv at $99/month ($49.50 annual) and Parlance at $499/month (invite-only).
