How we put this together: We read Profound's official pricing page (both the brands and agencies views) and its pricing FAQ on 8 October 2026, using a full browser because parts of the page only load with scripts. We read each alternative's official pricing page the same day and compared entry price, prompt limits, engines, billing and trials. We haven't run paid subscriptions of these tools for this article. Prices are in USD as shown on that date.

Profound doesn’t publish a price for brands. On 8 October 2026, its pricing page listed a free 7-day trial, a custom Enterprise plan and, for agencies, Agency Growth at $99/month plus add-ons. This page sets out what each includes, what’s gated, and what the page leaves out.

The short version:

  • Trial: free, 7 days, 50 prompts run daily.
  • Enterprise: custom price, booked through a demo.
  • Agency Growth: $99/month plus add-ons, with client workspaces at $399/month each.
  • Agency Enterprise: custom.

Profound’s plans on 8 October 2026

Trial: free for 7 days

  • 50 unique prompts run daily for 7 days. Profound sets a recommended prompt set based on your industry, and trial users can’t edit it.
  • Three engines: ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews.
  • One language, one region, unlimited seats.
  • Limited AI Marketer credits (the credits Profound’s Agents use), five Prompt Volume searches and limited Opportunities.
  • No projects, ChatGPT Shopping, data history, exports, API, support or SSO.

Enterprise: custom, through a demo

  • A tailored prompt tracking plan, tracked daily, with up to nine answer engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, Claude, Google AI Overviews and Exa Search.
  • Custom languages and regions, projects, ChatGPT Shopping and unlimited Opportunities.
  • All-time history, CSV and JSON exports and API access.
  • SSO/SAML, SOC 2 compliance and support options from email to a dedicated specialist with a 24-hour SLA.
  • AI Marketer credits sized for the whole team.

Agency Growth: $99/month plus add-ons

  • 10 pitch workspaces a month for prospect audits. Each runs 7 days (extendable) with 25 unique prompts daily on ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews.
  • Full client workspaces are an add-on at $399/month each: 100 unique prompts daily on the same three engines, 400 Agent credits a month, four opportunities a week and CSV and JSON exports.
  • Five more trial workspaces cost $199/month.
  • Five agency seats, email support, agency mode and consolidated billing. No API or SSO.

Three clients comes to $1,296/month ($99 plus 3 x $399), before any other add-on.

Agency Enterprise: custom

Tailored client and trial workspaces, a dedicated agency partner, go-to-market support and premium Slack support, with API and SSO included.

Annual vs monthly, and what the page leaves out

Profound’s pricing page doesn’t show an annual or monthly split for any plan. Agency Growth is quoted per month. Enterprise and Agency Enterprise are “tailored” packages, so billing terms and contract length aren’t published.

It also doesn’t publish a price per prompt, a prompt count for Enterprise or a credit price. Its FAQ says Agent usage runs on credits that are used each time an Agent runs. Going over your allotment either triggers overage billing or pauses usage, depending on how your account is configured. If you near your prompt limit, Profound says it will help you explore expansion options. Ask for all of this in writing on a demo.

Who each tier suits

  • Trial: a team that wants to look inside Profound before a demo. Fifty fixed prompts for 7 days is enough for a first impression, not a baseline. Nothing can be exported.
  • Enterprise: large brands that need many engines, several regions and languages, ChatGPT Shopping, prompt volume data, API access and SSO or SOC 2. Expect a sales process.
  • Agency Growth: agencies that pitch often. The pitch workspaces are the core of the plan, and client work gets expensive at $399 per client with 100 prompts on three engines each.
  • Agency Enterprise: networks managing dozens of clients.
  • Not a fit: a single mid-size brand that wants a self-serve paid plan and its own prompts. There’s no tier between the trial and Enterprise.

Cheaper or different options

Profound doesn’t publish a brand price, so we can’t say these cost less than an Enterprise quote. Every option below does have a public entry price, and each is under Profound’s published $399/month client workspace price. Prompt counts differ, so compare the table as well as the price.

1. SEOButler AI Visibility Check: a free look before any demo

SEOButler’s free check asks for a brand name, a website and, optionally, a topic. It searches a large index of recorded ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews answers (US, English) and shows where your brand is named, which answers cite your website, and which other brands and sources appear for the topic. You can open the answers behind each number.

You choose the brand and topic, unlike Profound’s trial. No email is needed. Verifying an email gives a shareable, unbranded report and 3 brand checks a month.

What it isn’t: a live tracker. It searches previously recorded answers, so a zero means no matching records, not that AI never mentions you.

2. Pace Generative: the monitoring and the work, done for you

Pace Generative is a done-for-you generative engine optimization (GEO) service, not a self-serve tool. It tracks visibility across the major AI engines, then does the work meant to change it: content written to be cited in AI answers, plus schema markup. Reporting covers citations, share of voice and competitor comparisons.

It’s sold as monthly packages, with pricing on request. Who it isn’t for: teams that want to run their own dashboards, or anyone who needs a published price first.

3. Otterly.AI: the lowest published entry price

Lite is $29/month ($25 billed annually) for 15 prompts tracked daily on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot, with unlimited team members. Standard is $189/month ($160 annual) for 100 prompts, with API and MCP access.

Limitation: Claude, Google AI Mode and Gemini are paid add-ons on every plan, and 15 prompts goes quickly.

4. ZipTie: pay for the prompts you run

ZipTie has no tiers. You build a plan from prompts, engines and how often they run. One prompt on one engine for one check is $0.01, and its Starter preset starts at about $42.75/month on monthly billing. Seats, projects and competitors are never billed, and API and MCP access is $10/month. Annual billing takes 20% off the prompt cost. It has a 7-day free trial with no card.

Limitation: the price depends on your setup, and ZipTie says it doesn’t refund paid subscriptions.

5. Peec AI: the closest self-serve swap

Starter is $95/month ($80 billed annually) for 50 prompts tracked daily on three models you choose from six, with one project and unlimited users. Pro is $245/month ($205 annual) for 150 prompts, and Advanced is $495/month ($420 annual) for 350. See Peec AI Pricing in 2026 for the full breakdown.

Limitation: engines beyond your three cost extra.

6. SE Visible (SE Ranking): 200 prompts at entry

Basic is $99/month ($79 billed annually) for 200 prompts across ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Mode, Perplexity and AI Overviews, with three projects and a 10-day free trial.

Limitation: no Copilot, and SE Visible’s FAQ says white labeling isn’t supported yet.

7. Rankscale: credits instead of fixed prompts

Pro is $99/month ($84 billed yearly) for 1,200 credits and up to 4,800 answers a month, with a 7-day free trial. Essentials starts at $17/month and is sold yearly only. Rankscale lists 17+ engines and unlimited seats.

Limitation: you need to budget credits. Claude costs 2 credits per prompt, against about 0.25 for ChatGPT.

8. Ahrefs Brand Radar: benchmark without a prompt list

Custom prompts start at $50/month. The AI Visibility Index, built on 462 million prompts, starts at $199/month per platform. Paid Ahrefs plans include a few daily prompts, from 5 on Lite to 20 on Advanced.

Limitation: Ahrefs says the index works best for brands that already appear in AI search.

How to choose

  1. Get the Enterprise terms in writing. Ask Profound for the prompt count, engines, credits, contract length and overage terms. The pricing page publishes none of them.
  2. Check before you commit. A free check shows whether AI mentions you at all. If it barely does, tracking a lot of prompts won’t change the picture yet.
  3. Price a client, not a plan. For agencies, Profound is $399/month per client workspace. Compare Peec’s agency plans, which start at $245/month with a shared credit pool, or Rankscale’s Growth plan at $385/month.
  4. Look at gating, not only price. API access, history, exports and extra engines are Enterprise-only at Profound. Other tools gate them too, at different tiers.
  5. Want the longer list? Profound Alternatives in 2026 compares eleven options, and Best AI Visibility Tools in 2026 covers sixteen.

FAQ

How much does Profound cost?
On 8 October 2026, Profound published no price for brand plans. Brands could start a free 7-day trial or request a demo for a custom Enterprise package. For agencies, Agency Growth was listed at $99/month plus add-ons, with each client workspace an extra $399/month.
Does Profound have a free plan?
Only a trial. The free Trial plan runs 50 prompts daily for 7 days on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, with limited AI Marketer credits. Profound chooses the prompts, and the trial has no history, exports or API.
Does Profound charge monthly or annually?
Its pricing page doesn't say. Agency Growth is quoted per month, and Enterprise is a custom package, so billing terms and contract length come from a sales conversation.
What's the cheapest alternative to Profound?
Otterly.AI's Lite plan was $29/month ($25 billed annually) for 15 daily prompts, and Rankscale's yearly-only Essentials plan started at $17/month. The SEOButler AI Visibility Check is free but searches recorded answers rather than tracking live.
